I belive software should aim to present itself as simple as possible. Just as applications should offer an intuative user interface, libraries should provide an intuitive application programming interface. After all, for now developers are humans too (at least for now). In both cases, the interface should be easy to use right and hard to use wrong. A concept that makes an otherwise complex system easy to use is one of the best things software can offer.
